Why in home shopping program es the price is always 99.99 or 199.99 why cant they just round off the price ??

when you buy what ever they selling they alway dont have that 1 cents change anyway what is the point

i know this has nothing to do with dating but question always gets answered when i put it here
Why in home shopping program es the price is always 99.99 or 199.99 why cant they just round off the price ??
It's because $99.99 looks like a lot less than $100.00.

Did you eve notice how the price of gas is NEVER 1.00 9/10 per gallon or $2.00 9/10 per gallon or even 3.00 9/10 ? It would always be .99 9/10, 1.01 9/10, 1.99/ 9/10, 2.01 9/10, 2.99 9/10. It is NEVER shown where the dollar amount is exactly even 0.00 ... I think that is to make it harder to figure out that 10 gallons would cost $20, but instead would be $19.90... it's all a funny numbers game to make you think you are paying less than you really are.
Why in home shopping program es the price is always 99.99 or 199.99 why cant they just round off the price ??
For the same reason that gas is $3.15 9/10... Because nothing has to make much sense, and you can really have 9/10ths of a cent.
Hi there,

They are doing that for tax purpose
to make us angry 'roar' 'smashes cars' 'blows fire'
I think you got half the answer yourself. Since they dont return the 1 cent, they actually are making a profit out of it. Secondly, the tax slab for a product may start from 100 dollars n by selling it for 99.99, they can avoid the tax rite... Its all business buddy... Maybe if u calculated n bought stuff, u can avoid giving that 1 cent each time.
It doesn't sound as expensive. $99 Sounds cheaper than $100.
Because alot of people are stupid. But wait! there's more!!
Market psychologist found out a long time ago that when you put 99 cents to something instead of rounding up people subconsciously believe it is a good buy. Also, it sounds better.
to make it seem cheaper when really it isnt
In a article I read several years ago, a marketing firm said it was a form of advertising appealing to the mind. Although the difference is only a penny, 99 cents sounds much cheaper than 1 dollar subconsciously.
Marketing research shows that items priced with a .99, sold better.
i think because of the way our psychology works... common, would'nt you like to her 999 more than 1000.... 999 could soo much better, and it also makes the thing look a bit cheaper... i guess its not for those smarty pants type people, thouigh for the people who are satisfied with it(i am).. so i hope that answers your questions...
Because $99.99 sounds %26amp; looks less than $100.00. $100.00 may only be one cent more but it looks way more, it's an illusion. An advertising ploy.
It is marketing strategy you will always remember that is 99 and that is actually 100 you are paying for :)
