How do I get Yahoo to always be my default mail program? If I go to any other site such as Craigs List etc.?

I had gone to a computer person who fixed the setting in Outlook Mail to always go to yahoo but for some reason it has switched back to opening when I go to any other site except when I am actually in my Yahoo mail site. For instance I try to reply to a person on Craigs list and it goes right to Outlook mail instead of yahoo! The computer guy had fixed some setting in Outlook and it lasted for several months..now it's changed back to do doing it again...we do have it set where send does not show so on Outlook so I have to copy and paste my reply if I type something up in Outlook..hope that makes sense...

Open Internet Explorer.

Click the %26quot;Tools%26quot; menu at the top of the browser.

Select %26quot;Internet Options%26quot; from the Tools menu.

Click the %26quot;Programs%26quot; tab.

In the Email box, select the email program you wish to use.

Click the %26quot;OK%26quot; button.

Joro's answer (above) is correct as far as it goes---It's just that it won't work without the following.

Yahoo DOESN'T normally appear as a choice on the drop down list----cause it's web based mail, and not actually installed on your computer.----Sooooo-- you have to force the issue--this way.

IF Yahoo doesn't appear on the list, as one of the choices-----you will have to download (or RE-download) Messenger---all of it----and that will put Yahoo on the list.

Now go back (tools-internet options-programs) and you will able to select Yahoo---apply and ok.

Later, you can remove Messenger---if you don't really want it---without affecting the setting.
