When I download movies, they always come out just the sound, not the video. Why can't I get the whole movie?
Try downloading the VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It has most codecs and will play most sources of video. When you pull up the file you downloaded, right-click on it and select open with VLC player.
That should solve it.

Try downloading the right codecs
first uninstall all codecs then install just one codec eg; SLD 2.2 it's a good one
Codecs are what enables your media player to decode the video and play it back.
