My Palm Tungsten TX ( I think that is how you say the name!) always gets stuck when I am syncing it.?

It gets stuck during sync mode, right at the end when it says synchronizing tasks and the computer/desktop part says %26quot;installing handheld applications.%26quot; The third wheel that usually is spinning on the TX stops and even when I hit cancel it does not do anything. The desktop part still has the spinning %26quot;wheel%26quot; icon, but it also will not cancel or finish its job. I have left them sit for 12-14 hours before to see if anything changes. My programs work and even after I have to disconnect and shut them both down they work fine. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix it? The only real programs I have added are medical ones, epocrates, Thompson Clinical Expert and a anesthesia logging program. HELP!!!

Epocrates (and possibly the others too) needs to have a desktop component installed, so make sure that it's installed onto the computer you're sync'ing to.



If that doesn't work, you may need to start from scratch: Make a backup copy of your Palm folder, reinstall Palm Desktop etc from the CD your TX came with, do a hard reset on your TX, and reinstall all your Palm apps (you can copy your addressbook, datebook, notes, etc from your backup Palm folder into your new one so you don't lose any of that stuff).
