Do you notice that every time CFB analysts talk about top Florida teams, they always leave out USF?

I know that USF is probably not the best, but they are the 2nd highest ranked Florida team. Both Miami(FL) and Florida State are way down in the rankings, and they are considered to be the Big three of Florida including UF. Should they change it to the Big four from now on, because USF's program is just growing and growing. USF doesn't get enough respect.

The Big Three Florida, Florida State, and Miami (FL) have been proven winners, have nationally recognized programs, and while Miami (FL), and Florida State have fallen off a bit, they are still for the most part very tough. Those schools still boast a very proud history in football, that USF can not match. USF is a school that is coming up and coming up fast, only Boise St can rival its rise to national prominence, but USF has the fortune of being in a BCS conference. If USF keeps winning on the grand stage, and keeps getting votes in the top 25 it is only a matter of time before the big 3 add another member.

Win something first?
USF is an up and coming team. They haven't been doing it for years like the others have. Herbstriet is always going to talk up the Buckeyes, Corso doesn't have his own opinion, and that other guy they have on gameday is in love with Tebow.
They also leave out UCF, FIU, and FAU. Think about all those kids on those teams that had shots at playing at UM, UF, and FSU but are getting a better shot at playing going to those teams. Give FIU and FAU a few more years to really get rolling and they will start taking players from those teams in the end. I never understood why a kid would go to a bigger school and ride the bench for a couple of years unless he;s that good when they can go to a school and play right off and make a name for themselves. Although there are to many teams in D1A that should be in D1AA and a few in D1AA that need to move up to D1A.
USF just started garnering major attention plus their program when compared to other florida schools they are very young
I totally agree....GO USF. Jim Leavitt has done an amazing job with that program. Definite top team in Florida
who cares???
Because the media only cares about the big teams they don't care about FIU they really suck FAU a better version of FIU or UCF but to be honest USF will be a big team just like UF,UM,FSU just give them time to make a big upset
USF has 3 negatives to overcome.

1. They are a young program, which means that they are not steeped in the same tradition as the big schools.

2. Their youth contributes here, but they are yet to win anything significant. Sure, they got as high as #2 in 2007, but then they dropped off huge and won the Sun Bowl. Sorry, but that can't be counted as a %26quot;major victory.%26quot;

3. They play in the Big East, which anyone will tell you from top to bottom is the overall worst conference in the BCS. That is not their own doing - the Big East was raped of it's top draws when a number of their teams jumped ship to the ACC. But there are alot of young, up and coming teams in the conference. Until they get redhot, they won't get exposure.
