Randall D's first suggestion should work.

if the hidden admin accounts userpassword, hasn't been changed.

His secondary guess wouldn't work though, as being admin is required to change password in cmd.

Assuming you're on XP Professional....

Log out, and then on the logon screen, press Control Alt Delete. Type Administrator with no password, and that should let you log in.

You also, can hack his password. Go to start, run, type cmd and press enter. Type

Net user

You'll have a list of user accounts on the computer. To reset a password, type

Net user (account name here) *

Yes, you have to put a space before the * or it takes you somewhere else. You'll be prompted to reset the password. NOTE: The password you type will show up invisible. To just remove the password, just press enter without typing anything.

Example: Nick

Net user Nick *... After you've reset the user password, you can go into start, run,

control userpasswords2 .

There you'll be able to control the passwords fully, and actually reset your dad's password, and that also includes the Administrator account. In the Administrator account, you get full administration, including maybe... making another account.
try this...

Log in to Windows XP using your regular user account.

Hit the Windows logo and %26quot;R%26quot; keys on the keyboard simultaneously to bring up the %26quot;Run%26quot; dialog box. Type %26quot;regedit%26quot; without the quotation marks in the box and hit %26quot;Enter.%26quot; This will launch the Windows Registry Editor.

Click the plus-sign icons on the left side of the screen to navigate through the folders of the Registry. Navigate to %26quot;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,%26quot; %26quot;SOFTWARE,%26quot; %26quot;Microsoft,%26quot; %26quot;Windows NT,%26quot; %26quot;CurrentVersion,%26quot; %26quot;Winlogon,%26quot; %26quot;SpecialAccounts%26quot; and %26quot;UserList.%26quot;

Right-click in the open area on the right side of the window and click %26quot;New%26quot; and %26quot;DWORD Value.%26quot; Type %26quot;Administrator%26quot; and hit %26quot;Enter.%26quot;

Double-click the new value that you created. Change the number shown under %26quot;Value data%26quot; from %26quot;0%26quot; to %26quot;1%26quot; and click %26quot;OK.%26quot;

Restart your computer. The Administrator account is now available for you to log in to.
