Help change what programs open on start-up?

I already know the msconfig thing and it always opens up windows that i don't understand when i start-up. Is there any program that shows what all the programs that open on start-up are and lets you change them?

Most of those programs are listed in the registry in the Run key (next to RunOnce). Do not go messing in there unless you have a precise recipe.

But you can uncheck ALL the items in Msconfig's Startup and the system will run just fine. (The business end of AVs. etc. load elsewhere.)

If you miss any items, like the few seconds saved on Office start, recheck them and restart the machine again. But most of those items just let you change system settings, which people tend to set once and leave that way. Who needs to save a whole click when he wants to change screen resolution?

I think msconfig is the only program you can use, all you have to do is open msconfig and click on the 'startup' tab, then choose the programs you want to run when the computer boots up. (if you don't know what one of the programs are, then don't uncheck the box)
googling these names that show up may help. another good tool that is less confusing than msconfig is ccleaner's tool function on the startup tab (available at ccleaner.com). another program that does this is msdefender.
