How do I change the default resolution for programs in Windows XP?

I want Windows to override any settings a program might have to always use the 1360 x 768 resolution. I remember doing this for X-Men The Last Stand when it would start up with a resolution outside my range.

Thanks ahead of time

Is X-Men a PC game that you're playing? If you right click your desktop (make sure the cursor is not pointed on an icon) and click properties, a new window appears. Click the %26quot;Settings%26quot; tab, and the resolution can be changed there for Windows. However, if you are playing games, games have their own independent resolutions, regardless of what Windows is running. You must choose the resolution within the games settings menu to the resolution you want. When you run the game, it basically changes the Windows resolution to the resolution chosen in the game, and sets it back to normal when the game closes. Hope this helps
