My display settings are acting weird and change when I startup my computer.?
I know how to change my display settings. I have always used the 1024 x 768 pixel setting. All of a sudden, when I exit programs or turn on my computer it is at the 800 x 600 setting. I keep changing it back but it always changes back on me. Why would my computer, after all this time, decide that it only wants to use the 800 x 600? How come it won't stay where it's always been at the 1024 x 768? I haven't installed any new software or hardward, so that's not the issue. How can I get my computer to use the 1024 x 768 setting again. Yes, I hit apply when i change and restart, but when it restarts it's back to 800 x 600. Please help!!!

If you have really added no new software or hardware (including windows updates?), then you are most likely facing a hardware failure. What you describe, it could be the ram or your video card. At this point I would try to do some troubleshooting. Do the following:

Why does Photoshop beep when I try to change image size?
I am using Photoshop 7.0 and have always used this program. Recently when I click on image%26gt; image size no box appears like it usually does to allow me to change dimensions and when I click the mouse anywhere I get a beep as if there is an error and everything is frozen. It will beep about 20 to 30 times when clicking and then it is all unfrozen but still no image size box. Everything else is working fine. What is going on??

I use a word processing software called Angel Writer, and it's very similar to Misrosoft Word... Anyway, I HATE times new roman font and every time I copy and paste words to it, it does them in times new roman size 12 and I really need the font to always be Verdana size 10. There is a HUGE difference, and I can't deal with this...

The sound always jumps up in loudness during commercials and often jumps up in volume when changing a TV from one channel to another. There are things called auto volume leveler and SmartSound, but they seem to do one or the other but not both. Buy a new reciever that has the Audyssey Dynamic EQ feature. It just came out this year. the cheapest reciever to get this feature is on the Onkyo 606 (cost about 400.00).

Okay, so im in the theater program at my high school. Im good at acting, %26amp; i always get roles in the school plays, but i never get the staring/co-staring roles in them. %26amp; i know why.
Im a naturally shy person, so when i talk to certain adults, or when im in front of alot of people, my voice changes to the really high baby voice, so when i act, it sounds really fake, you know sort of like the ovaltine commercials.

Your shyness is causing you to take shallow breaths thus making your voice rise. The trick is to make sure you support your diaphragm [the membrane under your lungs and above your stomach] so that you can use your lower registers. This means that you need to breathe from the bottom of your lungs rather than the top. If you are in choir or chorus you will get practice, if not ask the music teacher for some pointers on how to do this. Think of breathing from your stomach [you can feel your stomach rise when you do] this gives your lungs the support they need to push your voice out. It will save wear and tear on your vocal cords and help you keep your normal speaking voice.
Another good exercise is to lay flat on the floor and try and sing a song. You can't breathe shallow in this position so you'll be forced to really support your voice.

There's something wrong with my computer. IT won't uninstall any program and when i click uninstall again, it says wait until another program is finished uninstalling or changed.

When I open PDF files, adobe reader always freezes. It's so slow and when I scroll down, it freezes and says not responding.

Are you getting a pop-up telling you your computer is unprotected? If so, the next time it pops up, write down the name of it and do an internet search on it. Look for an anti-spyware program that says it will remove that spyware program specifically. So search for something like this....

Hi, I would like to learn how to program but I'm having a little bit of trouble finding the right resource to do it.
There are just so many books out there, and so many routes to becoming a programmer!
I took a semester of computer science in college, but I figure it would probably be best to start clean from the beginning.
What I want is a really well written book or online tutorial. I don't really care what programming language it is, as long as it is one of the big ones, like Java, C, C++, or python, I'm open on that. I just want to be able to learn algorithms and all the concepts I need to know to tell a computer what to do and be able to easily learn other languages.
I'm willing to put in the time and hard work.
Quality and ease of learning are what is important to me.
Should I consider the age of a book when deciding what book or tutorial to learn from? The reason is that Python syntax is perhaps a bit too powerful for the new user; when you can express very complex and powerful ideas with only a single line of code, you can have a hard time trying to understand all the things that one line is doing. Most classes that purport to teach programming via Python seem to force their students to restrict themselves in how they solve the learning exercises...because they're usually forced to re-write something that's already built-in!
In my opinion, C and C++ are excellent languages for learning the very basics of programming, like variables, arrays, conditionals, loops, functions, recursion, and so on. You really have to learn how to solve problems using these basic constructions before you can learn shortcut syntax like what Python provides. I also don't think you need to start with a purely object-oriented language like Java and C#, since objects tend to muddy the waters a bit when you're first learning how to think like a programmer (because seriously, that's the biggest hurdle when starting out, just learning how to think like a programmer when you approach a problem).
Since I learned C and C++ in a classroom environment and didn't teach myself how to program with a book, I'm unfortunately unable to offer you a specific suggestion with regard to what book to pick up. I hope you'll consider my advice when you do pick a book, though. When you learn how to solve problems in C and C++, it's really quite easy to move on and pick up just about anything else.

Changing High Schools?
I'm in the IB (International Baccalaureate... it's like taking all AP classes) program at my high school here and I absolutely hate it. I had to transfer to a different school and I don't have very many friends. The work is hard, and I moved in to a very rich school and I always feel like I am not enough. All of my friends from middle school went to a different high school. This one is a lot closer to my house, and I think I would do much better there. I miss all my friends, and I think I may be depressed. I've talked to both my parents about changing but they give me a bunch of crap about how I'm not going at my full potential and that this whole thing is just about my friends. My mom says that I can think about it my sophmore year, but I don't think I can handle 3 more quarters. How can I convince them to let me change back?

For the last 3 years I worked for a financial services company doing document imaging work and now I'm considering changing careers and becoming a teacher. I'm in the process of filling out an application for a teaching fellowship program but I'm worried that I don't have the right kind of experience . When I was younger, I always wanted to teach but I never pursued it. I've been thinking about it more and more mainly because I've become bored with my current job but I'm a little worried because I don't have any experience. The main reason why I wanted to teach was because I didn't like the way most of the teachers I had taught me and I always wanted to be a positive influence on young people but I've never worked with kids. If you didn't get your BA then I would talk to the teacher certification department at one of your local colleges. With a little luck, you could be teaching next school year.

we need math teachers who can brign in real life experiences and make math real -
we need people who can communicate and scaffold learning to that the students readch the aims of the class. weneed people who are passionate about their subjects and yet have the structures in place to calmly put info across.
we need listeners of students
students are the ones actively learnign - u are not the center of attention in the classroom - they should be showing u how they learn.
you have already a lot of strengths as a team player in the corporate world- bring them to the game

Possibly changing careers at 25?
I graduated college in 2006 with a B.A. in English and writing. I have since been working as a paralegal, and currently enjoy the firm for which I am working. I enjoy the work for the most part, but lately I have been wondering if this is really what I want to do. I know that my English degree helps in this field, but I sometimes question whether or not I'm selling myself too short. I have gone back and forth between continuing as a paralegal and going back to school to become an English teacher. I would basically have the program completely paid for, and I believe I could juggle going to class and working full-time, as I've done it before. The problem is, I'm very nervous about changing career, as I would be out of my comfort zone. I've always been shy, although I've become more outgoing wth age. I would love more than anything to teach literature and/or writing, especially to middle school students, and that is when I really got into writing. Any advice?

I think 25 is not too early nor too late to make a career change. Comfort zones can actually be a dangerous thing for us sometimes. We can get complacent, then let %26quot;opportunities%26quot; pass us by. It only knocks once, or so they say.

You should do it! You stated yourself that you would like to teach more than anything and you are only 25, not 75! Plus, your currently position would make you more employable and it is what you truly want to do. Another point is that if you chose not to, you will always wish that you had of.
do it, if you love literature, and you enjoy kids than teaching will be great. Now remember just like any job their are things that suck, low pay, bad admin. but this can be overcome by caring about your kids. Their is a teacher shortage in the west, but in the midwest teachers are loosing their jobs. The trick in teaching is teaching your passion or love of literature to kids that just want to myspace or text.
I think it is a great idea. You are only two years out of school - not exactly ancient - and it would be relatively easy to get a credential. You could certainly do that part time. The only thing I would look into is the demand in your state, as some are hiring, while others are laying teachers off.
By the way, as to shyness, one of the best ways to overcome it is to work with young people. I was very shy when I started teaching, and I still have some trouble speaking in front of my peers, but never with students.
An enormous service you could do for yourself is to explore your options deeper. If you were to become a teacher: where would you like to teach? Contact the area's district office's of public %26amp; private education centers...acquire their policies %26amp; procedures, as well as the expectations of their staff %26amp; salary possibilities (most are pretty much the same). Do you really want to teach under their limitations %26amp; leadership agenda? Then look into the Waldorf school system and compare--Huge difference!!! With much more diverse opportunity %26amp; freedom for the teacher to encompass, and in 1 year you could be in the classroom.
Challenge makes you nervous??? Allow me to share a little 'secret': You do not %26quot;become%26quot; of old %26amp; comfortable...you %26quot;become%26quot; of new %26amp; explorable. Life is an adventure, My Dear...an adventure %26amp; opportunity to become the grandest You that little heart desires...%26quot;To be, or not to be...%26quot; the only choice of every situation we face. Your best bet would be to find a college near you that offers a %26quot;Post-Bacculareate Certification Program%26quot; (i can never spell that word)...If they offer this, then they will offer classes in the evening. You would need to do a semester of student teaching, and that would be during the day.
Do what you love. If it is what you want, then go for it. Better at 25 than 55, right?

I think 25 is not too early nor too late to make a career change. Comfort zones can actually be a dangerous thing for us sometimes. We can get complacent, then let %26quot;opportunities%26quot; pass us by. It only knocks once, or so they say.

You should do it! You stated yourself that you would like to teach more than anything and you are only 25, not 75! Plus, your currently position would make you more employable and it is what you truly want to do. Another point is that if you chose not to, you will always wish that you had of.
do it, if you love literature, and you enjoy kids than teaching will be great. Now remember just like any job their are things that suck, low pay, bad admin. but this can be overcome by caring about your kids. Their is a teacher shortage in the west, but in the midwest teachers are loosing their jobs. The trick in teaching is teaching your passion or love of literature to kids that just want to myspace or text.
I think it is a great idea. You are only two years out of school - not exactly ancient - and it would be relatively easy to get a credential. You could certainly do that part time. The only thing I would look into is the demand in your state, as some are hiring, while others are laying teachers off.
By the way, as to shyness, one of the best ways to overcome it is to work with young people. I was very shy when I started teaching, and I still have some trouble speaking in front of my peers, but never with students.
An enormous service you could do for yourself is to explore your options deeper. If you were to become a teacher: where would you like to teach? Contact the area's district office's of public %26amp; private education centers...acquire their policies %26amp; procedures, as well as the expectations of their staff %26amp; salary possibilities (most are pretty much the same). Do you really want to teach under their limitations %26amp; leadership agenda? Then look into the Waldorf school system and compare--Huge difference!!! With much more diverse opportunity %26amp; freedom for the teacher to encompass, and in 1 year you could be in the classroom.
Challenge makes you nervous??? Allow me to share a little 'secret': You do not %26quot;become%26quot; of old %26amp; comfortable...you %26quot;become%26quot; of new %26amp; explorable. Life is an adventure, My Dear...an adventure %26amp; opportunity to become the grandest You that little heart desires...%26quot;To be, or not to be...%26quot; the only choice of every situation we face. Your best bet would be to find a college near you that offers a %26quot;Post-Bacculareate Certification Program%26quot; (i can never spell that word)...If they offer this, then they will offer classes in the evening. You would need to do a semester of student teaching, and that would be during the day.
Do what you love. If it is what you want, then go for it. Better at 25 than 55, right?

Which Chemistry Graduate Program should I go to? URGENT!?
I live in Florida and I recently received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. I finished with a 3.87 GPA, did okay on my GRE general test, and I did an Honors Thesis. I’m interested in getting a Ph.D. in Chemistry. I haven’t decided which Chemistry I want to study, but it’s likely that I’m going to choose between Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. In the long-term, I would like to get accepted to a position at a university where I can conduct and be involved in chemical research, and I would also like to teach chemistry as a professor. I applied and got accepted to the Ph.D. programs at the following schools. However, I do not know which school I want to go to. I checked out the programs from each school and I looked at various rankings, but I still can’t decide. Please help me make this choice and explain with reasoning on where I should go, as I have a life changing decision to make. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

It’s going to be the cheapest of the schools I applied to cost-wise. However, there are a lot of people that go there and I’m afraid that they might have a budget crisis.

It’s a public Institute of Technology and they have a great chemistry program. There is a chemical ecology professor over there that I really want to work with. They are offering me a fellowship that is worth up to $28,000. They are very strong in terms of academics and they offer a huge number of chemistry graduate courses. Out of all the schools I applied to, it was the hardest school I got into. Not as good as the other Institutes of Technology though.

From what I heard, they have a very strong chemistry program. Their Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry departments are excellent. It’s one of the best places to go for academia. They are offering me a five year reward package that includes a first year stipend of $21,373.20, plus $24,617 for tuition fee remission, $1,913 for healthcare, and Chemistry Department Fellowship of $1,000 for my first year of graduate work. However, I keep hearing rumors that it’s a party school.

It’s a good research school, especially in the chemistry department. They are also good in academics. They will pay my tuition and offer me a stipend with teaching or research assistantship currently worth $22,800 per year. I don’t know how good the university is in terms of reputation though.

I am currently making a site for my job, its a spanish translation to the one they already have. My boss wants it to always be up-to-date and almost in sync to the original. I dont want to search for the changes on 100 pages and the other web designers incharge of the english site dont want to type it in a %26quot;change log%26quot;. So therefor I need an automatic way to know if anything has changed in any of the sites. Any suggestions?

Write a program that allows a user to play the game of Life. This will give you an opportunity to practice with classes and objects, as well as with two-dimensional arrays.
Background:
You are to write a Java program that “plays” the game of Life. The Game of Life (or simply Life) is not a game in the conventional sense. There are no players, and no winning or losing. Once the %26quot;pieces%26quot; are placed in the starting position, the rules determine everything that happens later. Nevertheless, Life is full of surprises! In most cases, it is impossible to look at a starting position (or pattern) and see what will happen in the future. The only way to find out is to follow the rules of the game.
Life is played on a grid of square cells--like a chess board. A cell can be live or dead. A live cell is shown by putting a marker (an ‘X’) on its square. A dead cell is shown by leaving the square empty (or, for text display, we’ll use a dash (‘-‘). Each cell in the grid has a neighborhood consisting of the eight cells in every direction including diagonals.
To apply one step of the rules, we count the number of live neighbors for each cell. What happens next depends on this number.
A dead cell with exactly three live neighbors becomes a live cell (birth).
A live cell with two or three live neighbors stays alive (survival).
In all other cases, a cell dies or remains dead (overcrowding or loneliness).

I am giving you a JAR file, LifeStudent.jar, which contains some Java class files that will form the basis of your program. These files include:
Main.java – a small main program class to “drive” the game
Life.java – a class for the Life game overall
Grid.java – a class for the grid that holds the cells
We’ll later add Cell.java – a class for each cell
To pull the contents of this zip file into Eclipse, you can do the following:
1) Click on the link above, and save this file somewhere permanent (e.g. on your H: drive).

4) Go down to the src folder.

I own a Canon PowerShot SD880 IS. When I put the pictures from it onto my computer, just about every photo editing program I have says the photo is not a 4x6. So I always have to crop the photo or resize the photo. Is there a way to make my camera take 4x6 photos?
Note: I already tried changing the recording pixels. In every recording pixel setting, I still did not get a 4x6.

I've had the same mail address for years. Updated my messenger program several months ago, but it has always had the same address as my mail. Now, for no good reason, I can not access my messenger/chat list. I have tried changing my password, re-booting the computer, reinstalling Messenger 9 program, still can't get in.

What should I do about my changing boyfriend?
I'm sorry this is long, but the things I'm writing are important to me.
My boyfriend and I (both in college) have been together for four years and I love him very much. However, as of lately he is changing a lot.
All of my life I have always been better friends with boys than with girls. Due to recent events, my boyfriend will not allow me to be friends with any boys unless they have a girlfriend. I'm supposed to distance myself as much as possible from the friends I have now - to the point of ignoring them. The events that caused this are as follows:
Through friends, I met a boy who I quickly became very close friends with. He started living with one of my closer girlfriends, so I saw a lot of him. He was no threat to my boyfriend because he is the COMPLETE opposite of my %26quot;type%26quot;.
The day my boyfriend left for spring break at Panama City Beach without me, my girlfriend made my male friend tell me that he liked me. He didn't know if I would still want to be his friend, but I told him it was fine, he'd lose those feelings soon enough.
I planned on telling my boyfriend that night, but when he called he refused to talk about anything but all of the bare-chested women on the beach and how hot it was when the girls took off each others' shirts. I was only able to talk to him one other time while he was there and again we had to get off the phone because he would only talk about naked women. When he returned I finally got upset with him because he just wanted to show me pictures of the naked girls he saw. Then he left to go home (two hours away) and I planned on telling him that next weekend.
I had told my male friend that I would help him wash his car (bc his ex kept trashing it) so he called me up that Friday. We ended up having to go to his parents' house where all of his car-washing stuff was. My boyfriend asked me what I was doing and I told him. He asked if I was at my girlfriends apartment. I told him that I was at my male friend's house.
He was coming home early to surprise me. He got confused and went to my girlfriend's house. They both thought I was lying about my where-abouts. My boyfriend asked my girlfriend if he had anything to worry about. She said no, but that my male friend did like me.
My boyfriend was furious. When we returned, he almost beat up my male friend, which I can assure you it would have been brutal if I had not stopped it. My male friend is a small framed boy and was at the time seventeen years old with braces. My boyfriend is big, very strong, very athletic, and 22 years old.
My boyfriend forbid me to see my male friend or talk to him. Then one day he bonded with my male friend and hung out with him a lot. My boyfriend told me he was a good guy and that he was okay. I thought that meant he was going to be more lenient on my restrictions with him, but I was wrong. As soon as he knew I was talking to him again he got very angry.
Now I am not allowed to be friends with any of my male friends. I feel like he is trying to control my life.
Before this incident, he constantly texted me or called me asking where I was, who I was with, what I was doing. He did this ALL the time! He also put a program on my computer that recorded every keystroke and every little thing I did on my computer so he could look at it later. He would periodically check all of my accounts. I have never done anything that would make him doubt my loyalty to him.
Also before this incident, he has broke up with me several times. Once so he could play the field, and another time because my parents were too strict (when I was in high school still). One of these times he messed around with one of my close friends. The other time he played me like I was a chess game and bad mouthed me constantly to one of my close girlfriends.
I have always been the loyal one in the relationship that has had to forgive his mistakes. I'm not going to list them.
He acts coldly toward me a lot lately even though I have given up my friendships for him. He has gotten drunk and smacked me and shoved me against a wall. He thought it was playful, apparently, but it was very forceful and it hurt me a lot. I know for a fact that he didn't mean to hurt me, but he still did. He was proud of it the next day.
I just don't know what to do. He is often very cold now. I have never done anything against him and I have forgiven so many things he has done against me. This incident with my male friend was a huge misunderstanding. I feel like my girlfriend created this chaos on purpose because none of this would have happened if she hadn't been so manipulative. She is also the same girl that bad mouthed me to my boyfriend and then continued pretending like she was my real friend.
Now my boyfriend says he can't feel the same about me because he can't trust me. What more can I possibly do to mend our relationship and get him back to normal?

You have the right to go anywhere and do anything you want without reporting to him. He does not have the right to question you.
You have the right to speak to friends on the computer. He does not have the right to check up on each keystroke you make.
Does he allow you to choose his friends? Was it your choice that he spent his holiday at a nude location where he ogled and photographed other girls? Are you able to check every keystroke on his computer%26gt;?
This is a wife-beater and a bully. If you remain with him, you will be beaten up and possibly killed. You will have done nothing to deserve the treatment you will get. You deserve so much better. I realized how much I gave -
*My time- helping fix up his house or just sitting there
*We always watched his tv programs (or he played video games) If I ever wanted to watch something he would usually counter with something else. He would Tivo a program I liked but if I wanted to watch it, it would have to be in the morning before he got up or if he was feeling %26quot;generous%26quot;
*He never thanked my family for gifts he received and expected us to help him meet his sales goals at the bank he worked for - ie open checking accounts, transfer money.
*Even when it was his turn to pay for a date he would con his way out of it-i'll park while you get the tickets, I forgot my wallet
*He never followed through on his %26quot;promises%26quot;- I'll bring you back here on our anniversary, I'll cook a special dinner for you
*He was more than willing to take advantage of my willingness to help and had me cleaning his house, using my truck to haul things for him
*He wouldn't take any constructive criticism and always wanted to be complimented and thought of as important but only when cornered would he give compliments.

i think that what this guy actually wanted was company but he did not actually want you. i know that sounds pretty harsh - but sweetie, thats just how some guys are.. i hope that you are able to go out and find an amazing guy- that wants to make you his number 1 , and he would do anything for you! there's one out there for everyone- do not give up .. and no- people normally do not change when they are like this- the very odd time- yes they can- but most of the time- a person is who they will be their whole life. they can not hide from who they are

There's no shame in it, especially since they have a lot of confidence and take what they want without any regard to other people. There are plenty of attractive qualities about them, but the simple fact of the matter is that they never change completely and they're not very good for long-term relationships.
You're always going to lose more in the end, so try to identify them or talk to them about it early.
Never blame the other person for taking advantage of you. It is your responsibility to stop, or even avoid those type of situations. No one can do to you, what you don't allow them to do to you.
Some people are just that way. A few eventually change when they mature, but most don't.
Just be glad he is not around to hurt you any longer. He will find someone else to treat badly now.

I think a relationship is where both parties can enjoy each others. If your ex is so selfish, then its your good fortune to dump him.
He just seems to keep taking but you do not seem to be drawing anything from him.
Besides, he does not seem gentlemanly enough by displaying basic etiquette such as footing a bill, keeping to his promises or not giving up to you on a more regular basis.
If he dumped you, then he is on the losing end, not you.

I was told that I was too easy on my ex, I should have been more pushy/bossy. I used to do what you did also, go to his house and sit while he wrapped up his music activities on his computer. I waited on him, and watched his stupid sport programs, which mind you he had to turn the tv on at 2 am and watch the stupid stuff! Sounds like you and I just got dealt two of the bad ones and I hope that we both find better versions down the road.

while opening an exe file, my brother selected the open with option and selected MS word and i guess the always open with option was selected and now every exe program opens with word and thus don't work.

Ok, Basically I know very little about programming, but what I know so far, is how to move rename delete files, or input output data from the program I write. But here is my question. How do I get the program I make to interact with another program already written. For example, I know a program which lets me change my online status from online to offline really fast to annoy my contacts. :) Ok, Im not talking now about the nature of the program. But Ive noticed that the program that I open, when I click start. It somehow interacts with Windows live messenger, and changes me from invisible to online, then back to invisible. Why does Firefox always crash after opening?
I have been using Firefox for about a year now, and I've really been impressed by it.
Anyway, that plug aside, recently I've been having a problem with it.
Every time I open it up, it will work for a few seconds and then inexplicably freeze up on me.
If I change the program (say, open media player) I am unable to open Firefox again, and am forced to manually end the the process in the task manager.

I'm using gimp-2.6 and it worked fine for a few days, but today I used it to try to work on a project, and when I went to use the color tool a message comes up saying that %26quot;gimp-2.6.exe has stopped working%26quot; followed by %26quot;A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.%26quot; I ran the program again once it closed and used all the tools, but when it came down to changing colors with hue saturation and such this error always comes up. Is it something I can do to stop this? I really need this program. If it helps to know I'm running a Vista.

How do i get stepmania to let me press 3 or more arrows at a time?
I play songs on stepmania that, for instance, have an up-stream and a left and down combo during the stream. I always miss them tho because for some reason stepmania won't let me press more than 2 at a time. I know it will somehow though because on my other computer it did. I've already looked thru the options and it duznt say anything. Is there anything in the configuration program settings i can change maybe??

No, this is a hardware limitation. Your keyboard was wired in such a way that does not allow for more than 2 simultaneous inputs (at least, not more than 2 simultaneous arrow inputs).
There is nothing you can do other than buy a new keyboard, or bind your left-down-up-right keys to something other than the arrow pad (like 4-5-6-8). Binding to different keys may work, but your results may vary.

For instance when I open some jpgs my computer wants to open them with adobe reader instead of preview but AR can't read them! Or if I click on a PDF my computer always opens them into Photoshop instead of AdobeReader or Illustrator(I use it more than PS). Why do districts and charter schools prefer to hire or use Teach For America students?
Instead of hiring fully certified teachers with teaching experience, why are these college students with zero teaching experience and no certification always given the jobs the former should have? I understand it is a placement thing, but most of these TFA people end up leaving after two years to pursue grad school while others would have stayed longer. The longer you work with a school, the better chance you have to work with programs and change the entire school, which will trickle into the classroom.

Hi, when i turn on my PC it takes takes about 15min to load and once i log on it takes another 10min to load everthing. I also checked in msconfig and it always changes to selective startup and i put back to normal startup. i dont have many programs run on startup and its still slow. Other things are weird also such as, when i first open enternet explorer it shows my homepage but freezes up so i exit it and it says not responding so i click close program then when it loads i cancel and it closes it. then i open it again and it runs perfect. iv had webhancer on here before but i thought i removed it with add/remove programs. can anyone help me? i run windows vista home 32bit

I just started a design business with a friend, we have designed a logo with very potent colours, we spent a long long time designing it and choosing the exact colours in illustrator...then we export it as a .pdf or place it in inDesign and various other programs and the colours look really different in some things, to get it perfect we have to re-draw it in every program even though it's always set to CMYK...this also leads to the differing colours when we print it, and the colours ARE print safe.

i am a 30 year old mother of a 13 month old and married. My problem is that i dont do things in my life because i am always worried about what my mother is going to say. example: I graduated from a 2 year college many years ago after that i did not go to a university i had decided to attend nursing school so i took all the classes to get into the program then i changed my mine basically i have been up and down with what i want to get a career in ever since 2004. i would takes classes change my mind jsut never been solid with anything. now that i have a child and i c how the job that i currently have is BS. My mothers father disagreed with my mother marrying my father. My mum stood up to him and said she will marry him. Her father said he didnt want to see my mum ever again. He died last year and you know what. till that day my mum kept her word and didnt see him, Although she did go to his funeral. I also kept my ground and refused to see him, although I didnt go to his funeral. It was hard I will admit but I wont let someone control my life.

It states that if you earn under $45,000 a year then you can get this and you don't have to repay it.Also there is help out there to pay for daycare. You have to check where you live and see what they have to offer. Hope this helps
