I remember watching a cartoon when I was a kid about an alien that lands on earth and ends up living with some bloke.The alien changes shape.When it goes out in public he always turns into a dog.It may have been on the Atom Ant program.Help appreciated.Thanks

I think it may be %26quot;The New Schmoo%26quot; where he is pegged as the helpful, shape-shifting mascot of Mighty Mysteries Comics, a group of teens who solve Scooby-doo-like mysteries. In this series, the Shmoo could morph into any shape.
