Why is the size of the free memory on my hard disk always changing?

everytime i check for free memory its different.. i got 3 partitions C,D,E. on the C which is 4 G i have my windows..Now,everytime i check for free memory its different once it has 280 Mb free another time its 192, another time its like 212 of free memory..its always variable. Dont tell me its sypware or a virus coz i have full safety and got firewalls and spywayre programs and antiviruses working.any reasonable answer please ?|||Along with all the above answers, your swapper file may be growing and shrinking. If it is filling your C drive and you have others, you can move it to another hd in your system and delete the one on C. Look in your virtual memory settings.|||It%26#039;s probably all your anti-virus and anti-spam software constantly downloading updates :-)

Browsing the web uses up disk space (in the form of browser cache) and releases it (when the cache is too full).
