Is Changing Health Insurance Benefits Under COBRA Legal?

My wife has had health insurance under COBRA since she was laid off last January. In July, the bank she had worked for was taken over by another company and her insurance package drastically changed.


I have always thought that if you have insurance under COBRA your benefits cannot be changed while you are under the program. Is this true? Can an insurance company change your benefits if you are under the COBRA program?|||Yes the COBRA continuation is what ever the ex-employer is offering that year. If the ex-employer had dropped healthcare for its employees your wife would have been dropped as well.
