I use windows vista. And one day when using Limewire, I think I might have checked the %26quot;always use this program to open this kind of file%26quot; button.
Now Im trying to download a program as a .zip file. but now it only opens/saves with Limewire.
What program do i need to change it to?/ direction or what should be the default program before i messed with it? |||ok zip files is an annoying one to mess with vista has a system to sort out these problems but not with zip files for some reason. anyway the long route is to right click on a zip file and click properties then go down to %26quot;opens with%26quot; and click %26quot;change%26quot; and find %26quot;windows explorer%26quot; (if its not there click browse and it should be in %26quot;C:\windows%26quot;). ok if here%26#039;s a quick version just in case:
right click on a zip file%26gt;properties%26gt;opens with%26gt;change%26gt;windows explorer
or
right click on a zip file%26gt;properties%26gt;opens with%26gt;change%26gt;browse%26gt;C:\windows%26gt;windows explorer

from your friendly neighborhood nerd|||You will need to download Winzip or Winrar to open the file on your computer..then select Unzip and select the folder you want to open the program in for example create a %26quot;new program%26quot; folder to unzip the file to. Then go to that folder to find the install portion of the program you downloaded.
