How can you participate in a high school foreign exchange program?

I really need a change of scenery right now and I've always wanted to study abroad in London and it just feels right to do it. I'm currently a sophomore and I'm just wondering if there's any programs I could use and how to get into them, through my school or what I don't know. Please help!

I was an exchange student last year. The easiest thing to do is start planning right away. Go to your counselor and figure out what your plan is. They'll want to know when you plan on graduating, and I'm sure you'll want to know if you can get credit for it or not. I did my exchange through Rotary, so I highly recommend that. It's an awesome program. A counselor at your school will probably be able to direct you to a local program, but the applications are due sometime in December or January.
