Is there a program that helps the enviroment? where is it then?

i've always wanted to help the earth. i think that it's very important. animals die [polar bears especially] almost everyday due to the pollution and the weather changes. i have a lot of free time on my hands and i really want to help. im already in girl scouts but i want to do even more. is there such thing as that program and where can i find it. i would like one in southern california.

I think the Sierra Club is quite active in SoCal.
