Whenever i double click a picture to view it, it always goes to the photo editing program I recently installed, and I want it to go to the program it originally came with (I guess it's windows picture and fax viewer.) Does anyone know how?
How do you change the default program of %26quot;my pictures?%26quot;?
Right click on one of the files, click Properties.
It will say Opens With: and then the program you installed.
Next to it there is a button that says Change. Click that and in the list that comes up find Windows Fax and Picture Viewer then click OK.
Once you set that one, the other files that open that way follow suit, so almost all the other's will open the same way. Don't use %26quot;Open With%26quot; that only changes the default program for THAT file, not all of them. Some of the files with a different file extension might not change, you would find out as you try and open them which they are.
How do you change the default program of %26quot;my pictures?%26quot;?
Right click on a picture file, then select 'Open With' then select 'Choose Program'. Then when the box opens, select 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer'. Before you select ok, check the box that says always use the selected program to open these files. Then click ok.
There you are set.

Right Click the file you want to open
Open With (Drop Down menu)
Then choose default program
select the program from the list you want to set as default.
