Can I make a program using Microsoft Excel?

I am using Microsoft Excel. I put together this one Workbook that has lots of links, formulas, and macros. But to open it I always use Excel. Can't I make it so it is like a program all by itself. You just have an icon somewhere, click on it and my workbook comes up, not necessarily using Excel where people can change everything, but more like a program.

No if you made it in Excel is it normally very hard to export it to a similar application. It must be opened as an excel product to allow users to open it.

However you stated you did not want people to alter it. So go to:

鈫?Tools

鈫?Protection (click expand menu)

鈫?Click protect either sheet or work book

鈫?You may wish to add a password but if you forget it you will never be able to unlock the workbook

鈫?Now the cells are locked and can not be altered intill to click unlock workbook (and enter password is one was set)
Yes.

You could use the Add-in feature in Excel. People do this all the time for financial calculations.
