i got a new laptop and the first time i watched a dvd on it i put for it to always pull up this certain program but now i realize there is a better program on here for watching dvds. how do i get it to pull up the second program whenever i watch dvds instead of the one i originally told it to use. sorry for any confusion.... i dont know much about computers

usually when you put in the dvd it will pull up a list of promgrams and ask you which one you want to open it with, however if this doesnt work then go to the program you want it to open with and set it as the default player, usually under the options menu.
Open the program u want to play it with and start playing the dvd it will ask u if u want this to be ur deafault player and selecy yes
Open My Computer and choose the drive the DVD is in left chick and got to play with and you can choose the player you wish to use.
open my computer - right click the drive d or e where you can usually find the cd/dvd - choose explore - go to the main file in the video folder - right click again - properties - under general tab - change - then choose which player you want - then click ok.
or right click - open with - choose which player - then click ok

How to permanently set the default program?
I just bought the Sims 3 and to get it to work I have to change my default program to Microsoft Windows by going through start%26gt;defaults%26gt;set program access and computer defaults. It always changes back as soon as I switch off my laptop and its annoying having to go through the whole process every time I switch on my laptop. Anyone know how to keep it permanent?

Are you running another OS? why are you changing the default program to Windows? If Windows is the only OS on the computer, then it should be the only thing running and you shouldn't have to change anything. Perhaps you are thinking that you are changing your default program to something else. Please give a little more information.

How do I create a bot on a virtual program like vside? Read on..?
In playing a virtual game like on vside (spec), how do you go in and fix it so avatar does not go idle at all.
After about 3 minutes, avatar will go into idle mode because you are away from keyboard. How and where do you go to change the internal settings of the program so that you always appear not idled. I have seen a few people do it.|||I have no idea.

Is there a program that allows for more options when creating a color scheme for windows?
Cause the windows default appearance editor seems almost incomplete. As in, I can change everything exactly where I want, but theres always a few places that I can%26#039;t change, like programs. I had a black background, and things like, Yahoo AntiSpy was...well...pure black. Even the font. I could change all the font to white, and it still didn%26#039;t work. So, is there any program that makes it easier and better?|||Windowblinds by stardock.

This Fall has already been great for high quality premium suites. Last year, zero new premium suites were released. We got a lot of email from users requesting that we start making them again and so we%26#039;ve responded with three high quality suites plus a brand new icon package combo.
What is a premium suite? A premium suite is a set of professionally designs skins, icons, wallpapers, gadgets, etc. that are put together into a single package. They require that the user have at least WindowBlinds, IconPackager, and Theme Manager to use but they often include additional content. If you have Object Desktop, then you have everything you need. Otherwise you will need to download at least those three programs above.
Once you have those programs installed, the suites can then be downloaded and applied to change the look and feel of your desktop in amazing ways.
The three that have come out include:
Fortune. A cool looking desktop with its own icons, wallpaper, WindowBlinds skin, and a magic Stardock ball that will tell you the %26quot;future%26quot; when you shake it. (screenshot). It also has a logon screen for Windows and a boot screen.

Argos was designed for users who want a good looking but very clean desktop. The skin is minimalist and very fast. (screenshot). Argos also includes a couple of gadgets (a calendar and an RSS reader), mouse cursors, a boot screen and a logon screen.
There%26#039;s more in the works as well. Moreover, these suites have been tested under Windows Vista so when we update the software publicly for Windows Vista, these suites will already work.

Whenever i download an .rar file, i get a program which i unistalled as a default. How do i change to Winrar?
I usually use Google Chrome as my default browser and i always have to switch to Firefox to download things. How do i change the default .rar program?|||iu dont really understand when u download a .rar file it opens in google chrome? if yes all you basuically need to do is right click and click extract files here and there will be a winrar logo thing on the other side

My computer won't let me set "always open with this program" settings.?
I%26#039;m trying to make my .torrent files to always open with Azureus. I right click the torrent file, and click properties. Under %26quot;Opens with:%26quot;, it says unknown application, so I click %26quot;Change%26quot; to set is as Azureus. I choose Azureus from the list of programs, and the %26quot;Always use the selected program to open this type of file%26quot; check box is already checked, but I can%26#039;t uncheck it. This should be fine, so I press OK. Nothing changes.
